Service Manager – Social Work
Service: Childrens Family Help
Location: Kendal and Various
Rate: £350 day rate

Details of the work to be carried out:

  1. To recruit to this post through EPW is essential to build capacity and ensure we deliver and align to the social care reforms, the delivery of the parenting offer and ensure we have an offer to met needs across the continuum for all families at each level of need (universal, family help, targeted and cared experienced), with a focus on prioritising pathways for vulnerable groups for example SEND, global majority, cared for and families with children living in Poverty.
  2. This is a key post to lead on the strategy development of the parenting delivery in partnership with key partners, staff and families across the Children’s Workforce in WAF, from pre-birth to 18 (and 25 with SEND).
  3. They will provide strategic leadership and oversight in development of a clear Parenting Strategy and plan ensuring the efficient and effective development of our Parenting offer aligning with the Family Help strategy, Social Care reforms and parenting policies.
  4. They will ensure that interventions are evidence based and are measurable evidenced improved outcomes for children, young people and families.

Reporting to: Senior Manager
Updates and reports to: Partnership Board and Leadership teams
Timeframe: 6 months to complete a parenting strategy and implementation plan
