An established industry player seeks a Service Manager for Social Work to lead the development of a Parenting Strategy. This role is crucial in aligning services with social care reforms and ensuring effective support for families. You will work collaboratively with key partners, providing strategic oversight to develop evidence-based interventions that improve outcomes for children and families. Proven experience in social work and strategic leadership.

Details of the work to be carried out:

To recruit to this post through EPW is essential to build capacity and ensure we deliver and align to the social care reforms, the delivery of the parenting offer and ensure we have an offer to met needs across the continuum for all families at each level of need (universal, family help, targeted and cared experienced), with a focus on prioritising pathways for vulnerable groups for example SEND, global majority, cared for and families with children living in Poverty.
This is a key post to lead on the strategy development of the parenting delivery in partnership with key partners, staff and families across the Children’s Workforce in WAF, from pre-birth to 18 (and 25 with SEND).
They will provide strategic leadership and oversight in development of a clear Parenting Strategy and plan ensuring the efficient and effective development of our Parenting offer aligning with the Family Help strategy, Social Care reforms and parenting policies.
They will ensure that interventions are evidence based and are measurable evidenced improved outcomes for children, young people and families.

Reporting to: Senior Manager
Updates and reports to: Partnership Board and Leadership teams
Timeframe: 6 months to complete a parenting strategy and implementation plan
