Job description

The People Advisor is a new role, responsible for supporting the full remit of the People and Culture function.

You will be the first point of contact for advice related to people for our team and managers, offering pragmatic advice and practical support. You will lead the recruitment of new staff and collaborate with managers to develop innovative strategies for attracting top talent and enhancing workforce diversity.

As we return to our building after a major redevelopment and expand our staff team, we will implement new HR Information Systems to automate many processes. You will lead this project with support from colleagues and ensure all administrative tasks and data collection/compliance related to the people function are managed effectively.

You will have the opportunity to work with the Executive Director and Senior Leadership Team to set and implement People and Culture strategies, including EDI, collaborative working, wellbeing, and professional development, fostering your growth in a people advisory role.

Responsibilities:
  1. Be the first point of contact for HR/People queries.
  2. Oversee all HR/People administrative processes, ensuring data accuracy and compliance, working closely with the Theatre Administrator.
  3. Lead the project to automate HR processes through implementing a new HR Information System, managing data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Notice.
  4. Implement the HR Information System across the organization, train staff and managers, and support system users.
  5. Utilize the HR Information System to generate reports and work with managers and payroll.
  6. Manage end-to-end recruitment processes using an applicant tracking system, supporting managers with shortlisting, interviews, and background checks.
  7. Coordinate new starter onboarding, including paperwork, welcome packs, and inductions, and conduct exit interviews.
  8. Support managers with pragmatic advice, practical support, and coaching on performance management, disciplinaries, grievances, absence, and redundancy.
  9. Manage internal HR and Recruitment mailboxes, responding to and actioning tasks.

Salary: £33,000-£35,000 FTE (£19,800-£21,000 for 0.6 FTE)

Contract: 0.6 FTE
