A fantastic opportunity awaits an experienced Mixed Veterinary Surgeon at an independent practice in the picturesque region of Cumbria!


This practice is well-equipped to handle both small and large animal cases, boasting state-of-the-art tools such as Easiscan with high-definition BUGs and remote screens, tup and bull fertility testing equipment, bronchoscope and rhinoscope, air plasma cautery and cutting tools, digital x-ray with bucky table, and a top-notch ultrasound with all necessary probes. With plans underway for brand new, purpose-built facilities, the practice is looking toward a bright and innovative future.


This role offers a relaxed pace of life, with 30-minute small animal consultations and a well-managed large animal schedule that ensures a balanced workload. The caseload comprises 50% large animals (dairy, beef, sheep), 45% small animals, and 5% equine, providing a varied and rewarding experience. The practice seeks an experienced vet ready to grow with the team, offering strong support for career development and even genuine partnership prospects as they remain proudly independent.
