Mechanical Laboratory Technician

Location: Duxford - South of Cambridge

Starting salary: £18.29 per hour with an appealing shift pattern and long-term career potential!

Our market-leading client, based south of Cambridge, is looking to expand their operational team. As a global manufacturer of advanced materials, they seek support in their mechanical laboratory, where the successful candidates will perform quality control and testing to ensure manufacturing standards are met. This department plays a critical role in research and development.

These roles suit individuals interested in laboratory work, quality testing, research, and continuous improvement. The shifts are 12 hours, with paid breaks, averaging 12 shifts per month, with up to 6 days rest between shifts. Overtime is available and paid at 1.5x or 2.0x the regular rate.

This is a six-month temporary-to-permanent position. Permanent employees enjoy benefits such as a pension scheme, annual bonus, private medical plans, and career development opportunities.
