Salary: £46,800 per annum

Hours: 22.5

Vacancy Type: Permanent - Part Time

About the Service:

Mill Garth Hospital is a 19-bed high dependency recovery and rehabilitation hospital in Meanwood Leeds, providing care for males aged 18 and over with mental health disorders.

Responsibilities:
  1. Respond promptly to referrals, conducting assessments to develop effective therapy programs using appropriate treatments and interventions.
  2. Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, ensuring activities meet clients' needs and adhere to therapy plans.
  3. Manage an assigned caseload within agreed timescales, maintaining regular communication with clients and staff.
  4. Maintain accurate records, including case notes, reports, and clinical documentation, sharing relevant information in MDT meetings.
  5. Lead and coordinate with clinical colleagues, providing psychotherapeutic advice, and assist with research and audit data analysis.
  6. Identify and implement new methods and interventions based on best practices and evidence-based research.
Knowledge / Education / Skills:

Minimum relevant Master’s degree, recognized postgraduate qualification, and accreditation from BABCP, BCP, BPS, or equivalent.

Experience:

Prior experience in psychology practice is essential. DBT training and HR20 report writing experience are advantageous.

Additional Skills:
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trust with patients.
  • Responsible for clinical supervision of the Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) Practitioner.
  • Shared responsibility for the care and operation of standard equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality, security, and accuracy of patient records and data.
  • Adhere to safeguarding procedures and attend relevant training.
  • Ability to operate within a physically and emotionally demanding environment.
