Are you looking for a Management Accountant opportunity where you can work closely with stakeholders, add value, influence, be involved with ERP implementation, process improvement, automation, and broaden your skills? Our client is seeking a talented Management Accountant to join their finance team on a hybrid basis near Bishop Stortford, Herts, due to continued growth and investment.

Your new role

1. Prepare and deliver monthly management reports, including variance analysis and commentary.
2. Participate in monthly meetings with key stakeholders to review financial performance and strategic initiatives.
3. Develop and maintain the reporting timetable for timely and accurate financial reporting.
4. Assist in budgeting and forecasting, providing detailed financial insights.
5. Take ownership of the balance sheet, ensuring reconciliations are accurate and up-to-date.
6. Conduct profit and loss analysis to support business decisions.
7. Collaborate with operations and sales teams, providing finance support and insights.
8. Manage and develop a small team.
9. Perform reconciliations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
10. Support statutory accounting and year-end audit processes.
11. Ensure compliance and accuracy in multi-currency transactions.
12. Assist with ERP system implementation.
13. Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities.

What you'll need to succeed

1. Professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, CA, ACA, or finalist status.
2. High accuracy and attention to detail, with strong financial knowledge.
3. Proactive in process improvement and automation.
4. Interest and experience in IT systems, including ERP and Excel.
5. Ability to meet reporting deadlines consistently.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Self-motivated with effective time management.

What you'll get in return

Salary in the region of £55,000 to £65,000 depending on qualifications and experience, plus bonus potential, pension, 25 days holiday (plus up to 5 extra), ongoing training, CPD, social events, and flexible start/finish times.
