Job Details

Applications are invited for the position of a full-time Consultant in Anaesthesia and Critical Care at St John's Hospital, NHS Lothian. The role involves providing care in both the hospital and out-of-hours critical care settings, with responsibilities including patient care and departmental management.

The post offers 10 Programmed Activities (PA), comprising 9 PA of Direct Clinical Care (DCC) and 1 SPA (Supporting Professional Activity). There may be opportunities to reorganize PA to suit specialist interests, and 1 EPA may be available.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
  • Eligibility for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register
  • UK-trained applicants must have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT or be within 6 months of confirmed entry from the interview date
  • Non-UK applicants must demonstrate equivalent training
