At Electricity Northwest (Construction & Maintenance) Limited, we are committed to creating a sense of belonging for our colleagues. We ask our applicants to discuss any reasonable adjustments needed throughout our recruitment processes. We are dedicated to providing value-added power engineering services to private network owners, Embedded Generation investors, and carbon-reducing organizations. Through innovative design, installation, commissioning, and maintenance, we have a significant pipeline of projects, including major private infrastructure network developments, microgrid solutions, gas/hydrogen-based generation, and grid support through battery storage schemes.

We are a commercial organization that generates leads and prospects from multiple clients, including DNOs, for work either owned and operated by a DNO or private commercial, NHS, airports, and large manufacturing customers operating in a commercial environment.

Our hybrid working policy offers flexibility to work from our Blackburn and Teeside offices, from home, or at other sites across the UK.

We are recruiting a Project Coordinator to join our team delivering electrical power projects at transmission and distribution voltage levels. This role supports pre-construction and construction activities, from design to energization, for large-scale high voltage infrastructure and grid connections, typically between 11kV and 132kV, as well as low voltage high-volume programs.

You will be responsible for resource coordination, supplier management, project administration, procurement, document control, and supporting project management reporting, commercial information, and progress updates to relevant stakeholders.

Principal Responsibilities of the Role
  1. Control and monitor DLO and Delivery Partner resources, assist with scheduling all works, and maximize productivity, including site visits as needed.
  2. Act as a point of escalation for customers, site, and office teams regarding delivery elements of current and future projects.
  3. Drive excellent customer service, identify potential risks or complaints, and implement mitigation strategies.
  4. Report on project costs and progress to the program, finance, and operations managers regularly and as needed.
  5. Ensure projects are programmed timely, all documentation is controlled, and support client SLAs and financial targets.
  6. Review and ensure the accuracy and quality of contractor and DLO outputs from site data.
  7. Identify and explore efficiencies with contractors, suppliers, or partners to enhance project and company profitability.
  8. Promote the company's reputation through professional behavior, punctuality, and appearance.
  9. Support in seeking future sales opportunities by providing leads and assisting estimators with pricing and tenders.
  10. Deputize for the Project Manager(s) as required.
Who We’re Looking For
  1. Experience in the network utilities or construction industry (essential).
  2. Experience in contractor liaison (desirable).
  3. Experience in customer service (desirable).
  4. Experience in a commercial project planning role (desirable).
  5. Strong commercial understanding.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (essential).
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  9. Highly organized, capable of prioritizing workload to meet deadlines and targets.
  10. Flexible and adaptable approach.
  11. Valid, full UK driving license (essential).
