Job Description:

We have been instructed by a leading US law firm that is looking to add two mid-level Associates to its growing corporate tax practice. In light of the firm’s rapid growth in revenue, PEP and headcount, the tax team is planning to double in size to support the increasing workload generated by both internal and client referrals.

Following several recent strategic partner hires, the firm has established a full-service corporate tax offering. Unlike many other US firms, the scope of work extends beyond M&A/private equity, restructuring, funds, and finance matters; the three partners are also highly regarded for their expertise in CLOs, securitizations, real estate, and employment tax. Joining this team, you will get the opportunity to work on a broad range of multijurisdictional matters or to develop a niche specialism in any of the aforementioned areas, if preferred.

  • Exciting opportunity for a junior or mid-level associate to join a growing practice at a formative stage
  • Strong training and professional development programs
  • Global platform with access to complex cross-border transactions
  • Inclusive and diverse firm culture
  • Support for transitioning from the UK to the US legal system
  • Flexibility in working arrangements and an exception to the standard 2,000 billable hours target often seen at other US firms

Requirements:

  • UK-qualified solicitor with 2–5 years of post-qualification experience
  • Strong technical understanding of UK tax law
  • Demonstrated drive and motivation to progress professionally
  • Experience at a reputable law firm (US, UK, international, or regional)
