JOB TITLE: Senior IT Technician

LOCATION: South East London

SALARY: £35,000 – 45,000

WAY OF WORKING: Full Time/ Office-based | Permanent

THE SENIOR IT TECHNICIAN OPPORTUNITY:

This role is best suited to someone who is currently taking on some managerial responsibilities and looking to move into an IT operations management role.

Responsibilities:

1. Efficiently and effectively resolving various IT/AV incidents and service requests, e.g., hardware/software queries and AV faults in teaching spaces.
2. Being the escalation point for 2^nd/3^rd line issues.
3. Liaising with the IT Manager regarding the IT strategy.
4. Supporting users remotely.
5. Monitoring the IT Service Management system for new incidents and service requests, processing based on priority and urgency.

YOUR KEY SKILLS:

Essential Criteria:

1. Experience of working in a technical service environment in a senior role.
2. Experience of supporting, maintaining, and upgrading server and network systems.
3. Experience of troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.
4. Experience working to data protection and cyber security best practices.
5. Experience with managing/mentoring junior team members.

Desirable Criteria:

1. Experience of working in an educational setting.
2. Experience of working as a member of an operations team.
3. Experience of communicating technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
