Job DescriptionJob Description

As a Quality Assurance Engineering , you will assist in ensuring product quality through inspection, measurement, and process evaluation. You will work closely with experienced quality engineers and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives. This is ideal for students with strong attention to detail and an interest in quality systems in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections of molded and assembled components using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, etc.).
  • Interpret and analyze blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Assist in performing First Article Inspections (FAI) and process capability studies.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation for quality issues.
  • Document inspection results and maintain quality records per company procedures.
  • Assist in developing and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and customer service, to address quality concerns.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, such as 5S, Lean, and Six Sigma projects.

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
  • Basic understanding of quality principles and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently or in a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for data recording and analysis.
