We currently offer a fantastic Senior opportunity for a professional, commercially driven Senior Trading Director to join a dynamic & fast-paced business at an exciting time of growth. With offices worldwide, our Client is one of the largest independent importers in the UK within their sector, supplying the best perishable, short shelf-life products to the retail and wholesale sector.

The position of Senior Trading Director will manage a varying customer base in the Wholesale fresh produce market sector. Within the short shelf-life arena, timing is key, and understanding the importance of selling product held in stock is just as imperative as meeting customers’ orders placed.

As a Senior member of the team, this Senior Trading Director opportunity will report to the board and will manage the process of commercial and supply chain from the fresh produce growers through to the wholesale customer portfolio. A hands-on approach; interfacing with wholesale customers, negotiating contracts, establishing processes, whilst managing and guiding the business towards its strategic goals, the successful individual will play an integral part in driving the Wholesale business forward.

Requirements:

1. Fresh Produce / Short Shelf Life exposure is essential
2. Experience in a Senior Sales / Senior Trading position within the Wholesale Markets is essential.
3. Contacts gained within the wholesale sector will be imperative to this role
4. Supply Chain knowledge, with a thorough understanding of the challenges and varying elements of supply to a varied customer base
