Data Scientist Consultant Newcastle / WFH to £70k

Do you have data science and data analytics experience combined with excellent communication and client-facing skills?

You could be progressing your career at a top-tier management consultancy expanding its presence in the North East.

As a Data Scientist / Consultant, you'll focus on one project at a time, liaising closely with clients (mainly within finance, banking, and big retail companies). You'll manage data projects end-to-end, including gathering client requirements, data collection, model creation, and analysis. You will conduct primary and secondary research, address information limitations, produce insights, and oversee the work of data analysts to ensure high-quality project deliverables.

Location / WFH:

You'll join the team in Central Newcastle three days a week in a hybrid work-from-home model. Please note you will also visit client sites occasionally, with all travel and expenses fully paid.

About you:

• You are degree educated, with a 2.1 or above in relevant disciplines such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Computer Science, Informatics, or Engineering.
• You have strong experience with analytics and data manipulation software, e.g., R, Python, PySpark, SAS, SQL, SPSS.
• You take a consultative approach with polished communication and stakeholder management skills.
• You are able to work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish.
• You have experience working in specialized consulting firms, top-tier banking, or financial institutions.
