This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with classroom or school-based experience who is ready to take the next step towards a teaching career in a truly rewarding environment.

This one-year role could be the ideal stepping stone for those looking to pursue Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the future. There is potential for progression into a teacher training pathway within our school after the initial contract.

Here’s why our team loves working here:

  • Meaningful Impact: You’ll directly contribute to the well-being and learning of our pupils and see the positive effects of your support each day.
  • Collaborative, Supportive Environment: Work alongside a team of compassionate professionals in a culture built on trust, care and high expectations.
  • A Truly Special School: From sensory play and horse riding to personalised learning plans and therapeutic support, Danecourt offers something genuinely different.
  • Professional Growth: You’ll benefit from an extensive CPD offer and the potential to move into a fully funded teacher training programme after your first year.
  • Excellent Benefits: Including term-time working, Local Government Pension Scheme, Employee Assistance Programme, Early Salary Access scheme (Wagestream), and wellbeing support

Who We’re Looking For:

  • A graduate (any subject) with a passion for education and a genuine interest in working with children with SEND.
  • GCSE Grade 4/C or above in English, Maths, and Science
  • Someone with experience working in a school or with children in a professional setting.
  • A creative, enthusiastic, and motivated individual who is ready to make a difference every day.
  • Someone who can engage pupils in meaningful learning and build positive relationships with children, staff and families.
What You’ll Gain:
  • A place in a nurturing, forward-thinking school committed to SEND excellence
  • A highly structured induction and access to outstanding training and CPD
  • The chance to work with a team that truly values collaboration, compassion and innovation
  • The opportunity to progress into a teacher training programme if you're ready for the next step
