Job summary

General Practice Nursing is a hugely rewarding area of nursing.

We are looking for an experienced Practice Nurse to join our enthusiastic, forward-thinking team who is interested in developing a long-term career in General Practice within a busy Inner City Practice.

Main duties of the job

You will help people manage their own conditions, such as Asthma and Diabetes. The ideal candidate will support chronic disease management as well as general practice duties including child/adult vaccinations, cytology, and QOF. You will assist patients in staying well and promote healthy lifestyles while also assessing, screening, and treating people from small children to the elderly.

The position is for a minimum of 16 hours per week, subject to change based on practice needs.

We seek a team player with a flexible approach and a good understanding of managing long-term conditions.

About us

Our team includes two GP Partners, a Primary Care Practitioner, GP Trainees, and a friendly reception team. We have access to ARRS staff such as a Care Coordinator, General Practice Assistant, First Contact Physiotherapist, and Clinical Pharmacist.

Job responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Communication

  • Check emergency equipment and drugs as per CQC guidelines, maintaining records.
  • Follow health and safety policies, including fire procedures, documentation, consent, sharps, and needlestick injuries.
  • Be aware of child safeguarding procedures and referral criteria.
