Job Description:

The Logistics firm is seeking a Security Project Manager with extensive experience in delivering Data Governance and Data Security Projects. The role involves leading the data transformation programme to become a data-driven, decision-making organization.

The responsibilities include overseeing the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) programme, promoting understanding of data loss policies, engaging stakeholders, chairing meetings, monitoring progress, and driving the DLP agenda internally. The candidate will provide input to stakeholder meetings, challenge non-conforming behaviors, and help foster a culture where data security is second nature.

Day Rate: £500-£550 per day
IR35 Status: Outside
Duration: 6 months initially
Travel: Ad hoc to South East

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience as a Security Project Manager with expertise in Data Governance and Data Security projects, including creating and maintaining a data catalogue and labelling framework to ensure clarity and classification of data assets, flow, lineage, usage, ownership, and governance.
• Experience in data classification and labelling to prevent data leakage across the organization.
• Experience in implementing policies and promoting the use of SharePoint and OneDrive across the business.
• Microsoft Purview experience (preferred).
• Ability to coordinate meetings, engage stakeholders, and keep the programme on track.
• Skills to influence behavioral change in how staff save and share data, ensuring compliance with data policies.
• Proven ability to deliver project plan milestones and deliverables.
