We are seeking a Customs Entry Specialist to work at our JFK Airport location in Springfield Gardens, NY.

Starting Rate: $23-$26

Schedule: Monday - Friday

Job Summary: The Customs Entry Specialist acts as a liaison for internal departments, customers, and US Customs, managing documentation for import/export shipments and customs clearance processes.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Preparing customs entries and following up on clearance processes
• Scanning, filing, copying, and assembling documents
• Calculating duties or tariffs on merchandise
• Communicating discrepancies to clients and supervisors
• Reviewing rates, tracing product movement, and filing entries with Customs
• Preparing documents such as bills of lading, licenses, and conulate documents
• Processing post-entry work including refunds and protests
• Reviewing and verifying compliance with regulations
• Maintaining client relationships and staying updated on customs regulations
• Performing other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in freight forwarding or customs clearance
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and industry-specific software
• At least 21 years old

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in freight or secured transportation
• Customer service experience in import/export
• Troubleshooting skills
• Bachelor's Degree
• Brokerage certification
