Job description

The Landscape Worker is responsible for landscaping and lawn maintenance of Keolis facilities and LRT stops throughout Kitchener and Waterloo. It includes planting flowers, trimming and cutting shrubs and maintaining clean- and well-kept grounds. The Landscape Worker will work with a variety of equipment including lawnmowers, trimmers, hand tools and rakes.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Prior landscaping experience, an asset
  • Prior lawn mower, trimmer, leaf blower experience preferred
  • Proven experience to follow instructions and work safely
  • Self-starter to anticipate and resolve needs and requirements
  • Able to work efficiently independently and as part of a team
  • Strong manual dexterity to use various hand tools and equipment
  • Able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Able to sit, stand and walk regularly.
  • Able to bend, crouch and kneel frequently.
  • Able to work in all weather conditions
  • Able to work, day shift (7 am-3:30 pm), Monday to Friday, possible weekend shifts.
  • Valid G2 driver’s licence with ability to operate vehicles
