Job Summary:

Rackspace is seeking dynamic, driven, ambitious sales professionals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join the Rackspace Enterprise New Business sales team focusing on complex solution opportunities. The primary responsibilities include full sales lifecycle management, such as prospecting, discovery, education, solution proposing, negotiating, responding to sales inquiries, developing qualified leads through targeted outbound calling and event attendance, and closing business within corporations with complex server configurations. Candidates should possess superior negotiation and follow-up skills, work well under pressure, and carry a sales quota. Strong communication skills are essential for presenting via WebEx, face-to-face meetings, and telephone. Candidates should embrace Rackspace culture, contribute to team events, and suggest improvements at various organizational levels.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Meet and exceed monthly sales quotas by strategically selling the company’s propositions to new prospects through outbound and inbound leads in a consultative manner.
  2. Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing, including reacting to inbound opportunities and proactively generating leads. Use Salesforce to accurately manage forecasts throughout the opportunity lifecycle.
  3. Collaborate with Solutions Engineers for presales feasibility assessments to ensure solutions meet customer requirements and identify necessary customizations.
  4. Develop a deep understanding of prospects' business needs and how Rackspace’s solutions can address current and future requirements. Drive product team development of new propositions where appropriate.
  5. Build cross-functional relationships within prospects to deepen account penetration, focusing on C-level engagement.
  6. Engage with channel partners to identify and develop new opportunities.
  7. Adhere to company security policies and procedures as directed.
  8. Achieve monthly targets through successful execution of sales leads and account penetration.
  9. Manage typical sales cycle durations of 2-6 months.
  10. Track KPIs, documentation, and processes via designated tools.
Qualifications:
  • Professional sales training and knowledge of sales processes (e.g., Spring, Scotsman, Miller Heiman, CCV, VBS).
  • Experience selling professional services.
  • Proven track record in new business development.
  • Education to degree level or relevant commercial experience.
  • Moderate negotiation skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Accurate forecasting abilities.
  • Consultative sales approach emphasizing value propositions.
  • Experience engaging with IT managers, directors, and C-level executives, with leadership support.
