Full Stack Software Engineer – Tech for Good

Location: Remote/Hybrid (UK or Ireland-based, occasional in-person travel)

Contract: 9-month fixed-term (Full-time, PAYE)

Salary: Up to £65k

What You’ll Be Doing

• Build and ship new customer-facing features across both frontend and backend
• Design scalable systems and contribute to architectural decisions
• Collaborate with product and design to bring ideas to life
• Own your code end-to-end, from implementation to deployment
• Help shape engineering culture in a small, high-impact team

You’ll Thrive Here If You

• Have 6+ years' experience as a full-stack engineer
• Are confident building both frontend (React, Nuxt, JS frameworks) and backend (FastAPI, Node.js, GraphQL, etc.) systems
• Write clean, consistent code quickly and thoughtfully
• Are comfortable moving fast and wearing many hats in an early-stage startup
• Care about inclusion and accessibility — especially for overlooked communities
• FastAPI, Node.js
• REST, CRUD, GraphQL, WebSockets
• CI/CD via GitHub Actions & Azure DevOps

Databases & Messaging

• MongoDB, Redis (NoSQL)
