Job Opportunity: Catering Assistant

Position Details:

  • 22.75 hours per week
  • Location: Rutland Memorial Hospital
  • Shifts: Evenings and afternoons
  • Department: Estates and Facilities Directorate

Role Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive catering services, including preparation and regeneration of patient meals at ward level daily.
  • Assist in serving food and beverages to various customers.
  • Undertake general cleaning and food safety duties within the catering department or other areas as needed.
  • Check stock deliveries, ensure stock is dated, and observe stock rotation procedures.
  • Maintain point of sale areas such as counters and vending machines.
  • Record food temperatures and seek further instructions if outside safe limits.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Applicants should bring photo ID, proof of right to work, and proof of address to interviews.
  • Previous applicants need not apply.
  • Ability to work across multiple sites; mobility may be required.
  • All roles include a range of duties to ensure safe, efficient, and effective services for patients, staff, and visitors.
