Job Description:

We are seeking to appoint a kind, organised and motivated Kitchen Assistant to join our team at Statham Manor Care Centre. The role involves assisting with meal preparations for residents and external visitors.

Role Details:

  • Assist with food preparation and cooking as directed by the Head Chef / Assistant Chef.
  • Ensure all kitchen equipment and areas are cleaned according to schedules.
  • Comply with Health and Safety, Food Hygiene, COSHH, and HACCP regulations at all times.
  • Follow instructions from the Head Chef and Chef.
  • Perform pot washing duties daily.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous experience in food services is desirable.
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen environment as part of a team is desirable.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • A willingness to learn is essential.
  • No formal qualifications are required as training will be provided.
