What you’ll do
We are at the forefront of ensuring safety, compliance and sustainability across our operations in the UK and EMEA. In this role, you will play a significant part in shaping and maintaining our integrated management systems and ensuring all policies and procedures are compliant with current legislation and standards. You will also provide support and guidance to EMEA and UK locations regarding EHS regulatory requirements, internal policies/procedures, and industry EHS best practices. Here are more details:
EMEA IMS (QEHS/BC) SUPPORT
- Assist our EMEA locations in aligning with global and regional management systems to ensure maintenance of the Global management system approval certificates (for Quality ISO9001, Environmental ISO14001, Business Continuity ISO22301, and Occupational Health and Safety ISO45001)
- Develop and maintain management system processes and procedures (especially safety), along with developing training programs for each area to improve safety results
- Develop and promote the implementation of OHS Standards (Global, EMEA, Local)
- Facilitate multi-disciplinary risk assessments and manage overall procedures
- Assist in planning and implementing the EMEA internal audit program (for QEHS/BC)
- Develop, monitor, and audit processes to eliminate accidents and improve reporting of Near-Misses, including corrective actions and preventive measures
- Ensure relevant legislation and corporate policies are integrated into company systems and that the company operates in compliance
- Monitor emerging, new, and revised legislation to assess impact and liaise with statutory bodies as needed
- Review investigations of accidents and incidents, recommending improvements where necessary
- Support the generation of QEHS statistics in accordance with L+G reporting requirements
UK IMS (QEHS/BC) Facilitation (UK Locations):
- Coordinate the implementation of management system requirements within Landis+Gyr UK locations
- Review and implement Environmental, Health, and Safety legislation, requirements, and best practices
- Support the provision of robust IMS processes, policies, and procedures to meet legislative and management system requirements
- Advise on maintaining the company's integrated management system current with legislation and certification standards
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HSE requirements and update policies accordingly in collaboration with stakeholders
- Ensure UK processes align with corporate requirements, including maintenance of UK Process House using iGrafx
- Deliver annual audit plans and coordinate reviews and audits, including external certifications
- Coordinate improvement actions from reviews and audits
- Provide inputs for monthly UK management reports on KPI performance
- Coordinate activities for Business Continuity Management System (ISO22301) implementation
- Lead coordination of UK SOFI (Environmental data) reporting and identify improvement opportunities
- Undertake regulatory environmental reporting (e.g., WEEE & packaging)
Cyber Security Support
- Collaborate with the EMEA cyber security team to enhance cyber security controls, including integrating processes into management systems and reviewing security plans
Skills and Experience Needed
- NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health & Safety
- IOSH Membership
- Experience as a SHEQ professional in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 45001, and 22301 standards
- Cybersecurity management knowledge
- Working knowledge of SharePoint
