JOB TITLE: SEN Teaching Assistant

About the School

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant for a primary school located in Lewisham, SE12. The school is a popular mainstream primary with a supportive senior leadership team that provides ongoing training to staff. Depending on performance, there is potential for contract extension or a permanent position.

Contract/Position Details
  1. Location: Lewisham, SE12
  2. Type of work: SEN Teaching Assistant
  3. Position: Special Needs Teaching Assistant
  4. Start date: September 2025
  5. Duration: Until July 2026, with possible ongoing extension
  6. Contract type: Temporary

  8. Pay rate: Minimum £90 per day
  9. Hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday (term-time only)
Experience, Training, and Qualifications
  1. At least 1 year of Key Stage 1 or 2 experience in the UK
  2. Recent safeguarding training (within the last year)
Eligibility Requirements
  1. Right to work in the UK
  2. Enhanced child DBS registered with the update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  3. Two professional child-related references covering the last two years
