A leading company in the UK is seeking an experienced Enterprise/Solution Architect for an initial 6-month contract. The role requires expertise in financial architecture, end-to-end architecture, and API integration to support various business functions. The successful candidate will engage with senior management and drive solution design while ensuring governance and compliance.

• Support domain engineers in the delivery of solution architecture based on pattern led design.
• Document the current state architecture for areas of Functions using existing standards and tools.

Job Description:

My client is looking for an Enterprise/Solution Architect that has experience of financial architecture to join them on an initial 6 month contract.

The Architect will need to have experience at an Enterprise level but also be able to provide Solution Architecture for a number of integration initiatives. The successful candidate will need to have End to End Architecture experience and have extensive experience with API integration.

Experience working across corporate finance functions such as General Ledger, Actuarial, Accounts payable etc would be highly desirable as would payroll integration experience.

• Will develop solution architectures to satisfy business problems across Finance, People, Risk, Legal, Audit etc…
• Will support domain engineers in the delivery of solution architecture based on pattern led design
• Ensure appropriate levels of governance are applied to architecture and has experience of working alongside security teams
• Has experience of driving to successful conclusion privacy, security, risk, or contractual issues
• Will document the current state architecture for areas of Functions using existing standards and tools
• Will define application roadmaps and work with colleagues to identify opportunities for complexity reduction and reuse

Skills and Experience needed;

• Experience of Enterprise & Solutions Architecture within a large complex global environment
• Strong API integration experience of COTS integration
• Comfortable engaging with senior management to shape strategy/proposals and leading engineering on detailed solution design
• Demonstrable experience and knowledge of enterprise architecture,
• Experience in leading application modernisation and a good understanding of cloud technologies and integration patterns

Preferable but not essential

• A background in Finance architecture (Accounting, Actuarial, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting) is advantageous
