Embedded Software Engineer – Security Clearance – Cambridge
A growing spinout security technology company, based in Cambridge, is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer to develop, modify, and enhance various security technologies.
Your work will cover radio, satellite, communications, radar, sensors, and other advanced technologies used in defence, aerospace, telecommunications, and related sectors, contributing to the development of new innovations.
You will collaborate with a team of electronics design engineers, software engineers, mechanical engineers, physicists, and specialists. Prior sector-specific experience is not mandatory, as training is provided, but substantial experience in embedded systems development using C/C++ is essential.
The company offers bespoke products and services, ensuring each project presents unique challenges. You will also be involved in updating existing technologies, providing a diverse and engaging role to support long-term interest.
While experience in telecommunications, aerospace, scientific, radar, radio, or similar complex technologies involving device communication is advantageous, it is not a requirement. Your experience as an Embedded Software Engineer is the priority.
Some roles may require security clearance, which typically involves holding a British passport, having no criminal record, and a history of residence and tax compliance in the UK.
