Associate – IP / IT (Life Sciences) – Cambridge with hybrid working

Client

A top-ranked and award-winning international law firm

Role

1. Based in the Cambridge office and involves working with clients in a variety of sectors, with a focus on the life sciences and publishing sectors
2. Provide business-oriented advice, acting for SMEs, larger PLCs, multinational enterprises, as well as start-ups, research institutes, charities, and spin-outs
3. Draft and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, and provide a full range of IP, commercial, and regulatory advice to clients locally, nationally, and internationally, including in the US
4. Engage in business development activities
5. Excellent training and career development opportunities within a collegiate environment

You

1. 3+ years PQE solicitor
2. The team sometimes acts as an external resource for overflow of in-house work. In-house experience can be helpful but is not a requirement
3. Will thrive on close client contact and will relish exposure to quality clients from the start
4. Excellent academics combined with proven experience in intellectual property and commercial work are required; an interest in Life Sciences is desirable
