NHS Lanarkshire is seeking a Clinical Vascular Scientist to join their innovative Vascular Scientist Ultrasound Service at University Hospital Hairmyres. NHS Lanarkshire is looking for a Clinical Vascular Scientist to join our Vascular Scientist Ultrasound Service (VSUS) based at University Hospital Hairmyres (UHH).
This is an opportunity to join a fantastic and innovative service within the Vascular Surgical team. UHH is the South West of Scotland Regional hub for vascular surgery and the service provides quality vascular ultrasound investigations for the inpatient and outpatient population of NHS Lanarkshire and the wider inpatient population.
The well-equipped and air conditioned lab consists of vascular scanning rooms and a further multipurpose clinical room. The department provides the full range of vascular ultrasound examinations including carotids, aorta/illiacs, post EVAR, upper and lower limb arterial and venous scanning, graft surveillance, venous incompetence, ABPI and exercise testing and renal/mesenteric arteries.
The unit will currently run Monday to Friday with flexibility of hours between 8am-6pm.
Applicants seeking part time hours are encouraged to apply. Applications are encouraged from trainees with practical experience and working towards completion of formal qualifications.
Interviews will be face to face and there will be a practical demonstration of scanning abilities within the interview process.
