EYFS Teacher job for a Knowsley school from September 2025

Your new company

Hays Education Sefton is a market-leading recruitment agency supporting primary schools across the Knowsley Local Authority.

We are currently working with a Prescot-based Primary School to recruit an EYFS teacher to take on full class teaching responsibilities with their reception class.

Your new role

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons in accordance with the EYFS, including phonics, literacy, and maths, as well as social and emotional development. You will also assess pupils' progress and development. Building and maintaining a caring, nurturing environment where all children are encouraged to flourish, while setting high expectations, is essential.

Preparing pupils for the next stage in their education and life beyond school is vital.

What you'll need to succeed

To apply for this role, you must be passionate, driven, and have a strong desire to succeed as a teacher. You must meet the following core criteria:

• A minimum of 2 months' teaching experience in the past 4 years (this can include university placements).
• Right to work in the UK.
• PGCE, QTS, or QTLS qualification.

If you lack these qualifications or recent teaching experience, you can register as a Teaching Assistant or cover supervisor if you've worked with children for at least 1 month in the past 4 years. We welcome applicants currently working through other agencies.
