An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Accounts Payable professional to ensure the effective management of financial processes. This role is pivotal in supporting economic and social development initiatives, including facilitating payments for community programs and improving services for vulnerable populations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily pay runs, auditing processes, and representing the department in key meetings. The successful candidate will ensure the effective completion of Accounts Payable work within procedural and audit guidelines and provide a quality service to the public, external, and internal customers. The role includes deputising for the AP Manager in relevant activities, such as return to work meetings, 1-1s, and representing AP in meetings. Responsibilities also involve managing the daily pay run processes and liaising with the recovery audit to recover potential duplicate payments, unallocated credits, and VAT overpayments.
We are at the heart of the ongoing economic and social development of the city, involved in facilitating payments and developing processes for suppliers and internal departments related to the Godiva Festival and City Centre South developments. The team plays a key role in improving services for Adult's and Children's Social Care, Public Health, and Homelessness strategies. Accounts Payable has contributed to accelerating payments to support vulnerable suppliers and distributing grants to local businesses and residents.
