The Screenwise service is the measurement of people’s viewing habits across cross media (Television, Internet and mobile) in the UK. This measurement task is contracted out by Google.

We are looking to appoint a Data Operative to work as part of our Data Operations Team based in Westgate. This team will coordinate the daily production of data, general upkeep, maintenance and security of the processing infrastructure that underpins the Screenwise service. This includes responsibility for the deployment of new software releases onto the live production environment.

Job Role Requirements

  1. Administer all Linux/Azure systems, ensuring availability over a 24/7 x 365 day period for all business critical applications.
  2. Ensure routine Server/Data backups are performed.
  3. Monitor all hardware and systems using different monitoring tools for system performance, disk usage, disk performance, network performance, Memory usage etc.
  4. Maintain users and access control on Screenwise servers.
  5. Ensure all daemons and processes are scheduled and working accurately.
  6. Check the accuracy of the overnight polling processing.
  7. Maintain client database for file distribution and SFTP user.
  8. Maintain active Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity arrangements.
  9. Recognise hardware/software related issues and provide solutions.
  10. Look after client queries regarding Data Processing and IT related issues.
