Now Hiring: Solace Messaging Engineer

Location: London | Full-Time | Enterprise Messaging Team

My client, a leading organisation in the financial services sector, is looking for a Solace Messaging Engineer to join their Messaging team in London. This is a critical role responsible for managing and optimising their enterprise messaging infrastructure powered by Solace PubSub+, across both on-premises and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer Solace PubSub+ appliances and software brokers across dev, test, and production environments
• Provide hands-on support for production incidents, including root cause analysis and resolution
• Monitor performance and system health using Prometheus and Grafana
• Optimise Solace messaging across WAN environments for low-latency, secure data flow
• Work with application and development teams to resolve integration and message flow issues
• Conduct capacity planning and infrastructure scaling
• Automate routine operational tasks and improve monitoring capabilities
• Maintain compliance, security standards, and detailed documentation

Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• 3+ years of experience working with Solace PubSub+ in an enterprise setting
• Strong background in supporting distributed systems, ideally in 24/7 environments
• Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, and system observability practices
• Solid understanding of WAN messaging, latency management, and failover strategies
• Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and experience on Linux/Unix platforms
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Clear communicator and effective collaborator

Desirable Extras:

• Experience with Docker/Kubernetes
• Knowledge of other messaging platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, MQ)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud- Solace deployments
