Job description

Customs and Inbound Logistics Co-ordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Customs and Inbound Logistics Co-ordinator at Florette in Lichfield, WS13 8NF. This role involves ensuring imported and exported goods clear customs correctly and coordinating this process. The role also supports inbound logistics, beetroot replenishment, and retailer tray management. The ideal candidate will have experience with European and UK Customs Clearing, preferably within a food production environment.

Working hours

5 days a week, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Provisional days are Tuesday to Saturday during winter and Monday to Friday during summer.

Pay

Competitive GBP salary with annual bonus eligibility.

Main Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with HMRC customs regulations for tariffs and border clearing, including Phyto-sanitary clearance through Defra.
  • Coordinate with group colleagues as the focal point for customs clearing and border transfers.
  • Utilize software to manage customs clearance, inbound logistics, beetroot replenishment, and retailer trays.
  • Manage import/export processes and liaise with export clearing agents.
  • Maintain correct declarations and archiving of all Customs Documents.
Skills and Experience Required
  • Preferably a formal qualification in Logistics, but not essential.
  • Relevant customs course or qualification.
  • Experience with European and UK Customs Clearing, ideally in food production.
  • Strong numeracy and IT skills; quick to learn new software.
  • Work experience in logistics and commercial awareness.
  • Understanding of European logistical routes.
