Do you have experience leading a team to success and are interested in progressing into the hospitality industry? Or do you already have hospitality management experience and want to advance your career?

The General Manager in Training role is vital within our business. You will undertake a comprehensive 12-week induction program to develop the skills needed to become a successful General Manager. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong leadership potential to grow within Mitchells & Butlers.

Based in a district as a General Manager in Training, you should be able to drive and have access to a vehicle, as you'll work across multiple locations. With support from your area manager and a structured training plan, you'll develop your teams and achieve your targets.

This opportunity is suitable for those seeking their first General Manager position.

Join us at Harvester, a beloved family dining destination known for our rotisserie chicken and unlimited salad bar since 1983. Looking for a fresh start? We want to hear from you.

PROGRESSION

After completing the 12-week induction, you'll be assessed for readiness to assume a General Manager role. Successful trainees may be considered for a business of their own or other managerial positions based on performance and development.

  • 33% discount across all our brands, including Miller & Carter, Toby Carvery, and All Bar One.
  • 20% discount for up to 5 friends and family across all brands.
  • Discounts on gym memberships.
  • Recognition events, team socials, and away days.
  • Private medical and dental plans.

Additional benefits include a pension, 25 days paid holiday, shopping discounts, free shares, and a free employee helpline.

WHAT DO I NEED?

  • Proven leadership experience in developing a business and managing teams.
  • Current or previous roles such as deputy manager, retail manager, store manager, catering manager, or independent business manager.
  • Ability to drive and support district operations during training.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • During training, you'll learn to become an effective General Manager by:
  • Training and motivating your team.
  • Providing excellent guest experiences.
