Role: New Build Key Account Manager (Southwest)

Location: Covering Birmingham, Nottingham and down to Truro

Salary: Competitive + Bonus + Benefits

This role would suit an experienced professional who is adept at business development within the construction and renewable energy sectors, emphasising both strategic vision and practical execution skills.

What Will You Be Doing?

Focused on the national and regional house builder sector, you will develop and manage relationships across all levels of house builder businesses, including supply chain partners, architects, and construction SAP assessors. Collaborating within Daikin teams you will drive business exchange and leverage market intelligence, promoting Daikin's renewable product range to achieve sales and order intake targets. You will also formulate and execute strategic business plans aligned with heating sales objectives to exceed business targets.

You will:

  • Generate new opportunities and grow market share within the house builder sector.
  • Serve as the key contact for all customer-related issues, ensuring exceptional service delivery.
  • Increase specification sales for Daikin renewable products by developing new business partnerships.
  • Manage projects from initial specification through to contract award, including technical proposals and CPD presentations.
  • Utilise CRM for effective project tracking, sales forecasting, and customer relationship management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer expectations are met across quality, service, and timelines.
  • Monitor and report on new build market activities and competitor insights to Daikin management.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Highly organised with strong prioritisation skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Understanding of the new build market and its supply chain dynamics.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with construction SAP and government regulations like Future Homes.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a passion for service excellence.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure.
  • Strong negotiation and decision-making abilities.
  • Commercial acumen with a track record in achieving sales targets.
  • Awareness of regional and national construction projects.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Previous sales experience in the heating industry.
  • Essential: Experience with house builders and social housing clients.
  • Desirable: BPEC or equivalent in HVAC products.
  • Desirable: Experience in renewable energy industry and heat pumps.
