About the job

As a complete SaaS solution, SAS Customer Intelligence 360 is a multichannel marketing hub that takes marketers beyond a traditional customer data platform with market-leading advanced audience creation, targeting and activation.

In this role, you will apply your positive attitude and front-end development talent to make an immediate impact on SAS’ user interfaces using React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS technologies. You will work closely with visual designers and UX experts to match and foster design intent for products in the Customer Intelligence division. You will work on an agile team, delivering software within a continuous-release schedule. You will also make architectural and design decisions for the product’s user interface and help negotiate interfaces with the server tier.

Duties include designing and implementing new functionality, routine maintenance, and production support. You may also architect portions of the solution using the latest SAS tools and technologies. You will collaborate with product management on new business requirements and work within our diverse team to produce high-quality, maintainable user interfaces.

As a UI Developer (REACT), you will:

• Design and develop high-quality, testable, and scalable software solutions within established timelines while adhering to CI360 best practices and processes.
• Develop UI Front End using REST APIs, JavaScript/TypeScript, ReactJS, Redux, AngularJS.
• Develop multi-tenancy solutions supporting multiple services and scaling seamlessly.
• Collaborate with mid-tier and server tier teams to fulfill requirements.
• Ensure solutions meet the highest data security standards and are consistent with R&D standards.
• Expand knowledge of CI360 solutions and how Audience services support them.

Required qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience developing enterprise web applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with a JavaScript framework such as React, Vue, Angular, etc.
• Proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS/SCSS for building scalable user interfaces.
• Understanding of design patterns for UI and programming concepts.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services or similar cloud platforms.
• An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
• Right to work in the UK.
• Curious, passionate, authentic, and accountable personality traits.

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with React, JSX, Redux, and Jest.
• Experience with JavaScript ES6 and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of JSON and RESTful APIs.
• Experience with asynchronous requests and AJAX.
• Ability to work with UX and Visual Design teams.
• Experience developing for multiple browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
• Knowledge of web standards, especially accessibility standards.
• Exposure to continuous delivery and DevOps methodologies.
• Basic understanding of SQL.
• Familiarity with version control (Git/GitHub).
• Basic knowledge of Linux OS and SSH.
• Experience with container management systems like Kubernetes.
• Experience with CI/CD models.
