Contract Type: Full time, permanent

Location: London 3 days a week in the office (with occasional travel to Suffolk). Please note that this role will eventually become site-based (Suffolk) once the project progresses.

Salary: From £78,949 depending on experience, plus bonus and other benefits.

About the Role:

Are you ready to lead and innovate in one of the UK's most ambitious infrastructure projects? As a Project Manager for Main Civil Works at Sizewell C, you will play a crucial role in driving the delivery of civil engineering work and managing key contracts. Your mission will be to advance engineering, ensure quality, and support the delivery programme for Sizewell C, contributing to the nation's sustainable energy future.

What will you be doing as a Project Manager within the Main Civil Works?

• Lead a multi-disciplinary team within the Civil Works Alliance to enable and facilitate successful delivery of Nuclear Island Civils Buildings.
• Establish nuclear quality and safety culture within a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery programme, and provide SZC Intelligent Client oversight of responsibilities and deliverables, ensuring compliance with processes and procedures.
• Oversee the preconstruction planning phase for the RC buildings within the Nuclear Island, ensuring quality, schedule, and cost targets are met, and compliance with CDM and requirements for schedule and logistics are aligned within the construction delivery plan and milestones.
• Collaborate with SZC Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Programme teams to prepare for and execute the delivery phase of the project, ensuring decisions are aligned with governance and project controls.

What are we looking for?

• Experience: Minimum 15 years in civil engineering, with at least 10 years in project management. Experience in safety-critical regulated industries (e.g., rail, aviation, aerospace) which are process-focused is highly desirable, along with major programme experience such as HS2 or Olympics.
• Skills: Strong understanding of RC structures and complex engineering projects.
• Qualifications: Degree qualified and/or chartered in civil engineering, structural engineering, construction, or a related field.
• Attributes: Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Must be solutions-focused and operate within a process-driven industry where safety and quality are paramount.
