Job description

JustPhysio is looking to recruit a Band 6 Community Physiotherapist for a locum position in Essex.

The pay for this position is GBP 22-26 per hour, with an immediate start preferred for an ongoing duration.

Applicants must have a minimum of 1 year of post-graduate experience, the right to work in the UK, and HCPC registration.

Job Description

You will be responsible for undertaking assessments and interventions in the community and care homes for patients under the Discharge to Assess (D2A) pathways. Your duties include assessing patients' therapy and care needs, providing interventions to promote safety and independence, and reducing the risk of re-admission or harm. You will support patients onto the most appropriate pathways for their needs, coordinate services through person-centred assessments, develop and evaluate care and therapy plans, assess equipment needs, support discharge planning, and work on rehabilitation goals to promote function and independence. The role requires working autonomously within professional guidelines and service policies. Additional responsibilities include assessing for health or social care packages tailored to patient needs. All skills required are competency-led, with training provided as needed.

The successful candidate must hold a full driver’s license and have access to their own car.
