Job description

Job Title: Site Agent

We are seeking a Site Agent to join our Natural Resources team, working on projects in the Thames Valley region (North). The initial focus will be on the Harpenden, Hertfordshire site, supporting various projects on the Thames Water WAAP Programme and ensuring the delivery of both above and below ground assets.

Harpenden, Hertfordshire

Contract

Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time hours may be available upon request.

Responsibilities
  • Manage daily operations at the Harpenden WWTW site, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Coordinate with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet project milestones.
  • Enforce health, safety, environmental, and quality (SHEQ) regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with the Project Manager, design teams, Thames Water representatives, and other stakeholders.
  • Lead site briefings, toolbox talks, and safety inductions.
Candidate Requirements

This role is ideal for candidates with:

  • Substantial experience as a Site Agent or Senior Engineer in wastewater or civil infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of wastewater treatment processes and live site operations.
  • Proven leadership in managing site teams and subcontractors, ensuring proper construction sequencing.
  • Knowledge of CDM regulations, temporary works, and site-based QA/QC procedures.
