Deloury Construction Company Inc., a Merrimack Valley Massachusetts-based heavy civil construction company with several upcoming projects within a 60-mile radius of our corporate office, is currently seeking to add a Civil Construction Superintendent experienced in heavy civil construction to our team.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop, with the Project Manager, refine and update the project schedule.
2. Possess complete knowledge and understanding of contract drawings and specifications.
3. Understand project costs and manage company assets.
4. Create and manage project documentation.
5. Coordinate project operations including labor, equipment, subcontractors, and material resources.
6. Ensure compliance with all regulations related to the project.
7. Provide leadership and maintain effective working relationships with on-site staff.
8. Enforce safety, quality, efficiency, and core values.
9. Forecast and develop look-ahead reports, daily crew lists, and manage field activities to meet project deadlines.
10. Lead weekly foreman meetings when applicable.
11. Develop two-week forecasts to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.
12. Identify and manage change orders and potential change orders.
13. Maintain regulatory compliance for projects.
14. Maintain good relationships with clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience

• A degree in Civil Engineering, construction-related field, or proven work experience with no less than 10 years of progressive responsibility supervising construction projects.

• Ability to read construction drawings and understand specifications.
• Leadership and management skills, including decision-making with integrity.
