Job Summary

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality and professional business management administration and support across the entire function. Your duties will include supporting the smooth operation of the DDaT Directorate, attending relevant boards and committees, preparing papers, and accurately recording minutes, actions, and decisions. You will handle sensitive and confidential materials, ensure timely processing of orders and invoices, and coordinate various meetings, workshops, and forums while maintaining high professional standards.

Main duties of the job

What we need from you:

  • Collate papers, prepare reports, monitor supplier progress, and communicate with stakeholders
  • Assist with communications and engagement strategies across DDaT
  • Contribute to governance functions, using existing standards and tools, and support organisational maturity
  • Collaborate within NHSBSA and with other government bodies, demonstrating excellent teamwork and communication skills

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you are accountable for:

  • Coaching and mentoring the Business Management Administration team
  • Updating policies, resources, and plans to create a comprehensive view of performance and skills
  • Providing management information, maintaining documentation, and updating organisational structures and training plans
  • Supporting governance activities, audits, and product roadmaps
  • Gathering information for performance dashboards, risk registers, and professional development evidence
  • Preparing reports, managing supplier relationships, and liaising with external vendors
  • Representing the team at meetings, providing updates to senior leaders, and enabling decision-making
  • Managing stock control, procurement, and asset documentation
