International Risk and Control sits within International Card Services (ICS), which comprises all the issuing functions across 28 international markets excluding the US. Colleagues operate across various geographies and disciplines. ICS issues products to our Consumer and Commercial customers – the organization is an integral part of American Express's global growth strategy; offering differentiated products and services is critical to our success and promises to drive significant growth and value through innovative, tailored products that meet our customers' needs. Our organization of approximately 500 colleagues helps manage risk, respond to new regulations, develop new products, and foster effective partnerships across key stakeholders. The organization also leads enterprise-wide initiatives including the International Financial Crimes Transformation and Privacy programs.

How will you make an impact in this role?

Reporting to the SVP, International Risk and Control, this position is ideal for a hardworking and highly motivated individual seeking an executive assistant role.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Managing complex and comprehensive calendars across multiple time zones, handling meeting requests and correspondence promptly while balancing the needs of the SVP and her leadership team.
  2. Coordinating logistics for meetings, including scheduling conference rooms, catering, and technology support.
  3. Managing planning and logistics for internal and external meetings such as Town Halls, roundtables, leadership meetings, planning sessions, and virtual or offsite events.
  4. Building strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders across global offices and with internal Executive Assistants.
  5. Arranging international and domestic travel, including flights, hotels, transfers, and preparing agendas.
  6. Preparing, reviewing, and processing expense reports efficiently and in accordance with company policies.
  7. Supporting team administration tasks, including onboarding new hires and updating distribution lists.
  8. Processing invoices and requisitions.
  9. Proactively identifying and resolving administrative issues and challenges.
Minimum Qualifications
  1. Proven experience supporting senior executives with excellent organizational, administrative, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong attention to detail and a sense of urgency in execution and follow-up.
  3. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
  4. High integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  5. Positive, solution-oriented attitude, proactive approach, and reliability.
  6. Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, including PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  8. Flexibility and teamwork skills, with the ability to anticipate needs and improve organizational efficiency.
  9. Knowledge of tools such as MyInfo, Concur Expense & Travel, SharePoint, WebEx, Slack is a plus.
