GBP20 – GBP30 per hour

Role Overview

Prospero Teaching is looking for Tutors across Barnsley to support students in their transition back into a new school after being previously excluded. These students may have been out of education for a while and need an empathetic, understanding tutor to facilitate a smooth transition. We receive referrals for students across KS1-KS5, offering scope to work with all age ranges.

Requirements

• Commit to a few hours during the school day; part-time availability is acceptable depending on student needs.
• Must hold QTS or have previous experience working with students on a 1:1 basis (e.g., HLTA, Intervention Lead).
• HLTA or equivalent qualification/experience is preferred.
• Proven track record of improving student performance.
• Team Teach qualification is highly desirable.
• Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year (training provided if needed).
• DBS on the update service.

Eligibility

• Hold the Right to Work in the UK.
• Have an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to obtain one.
• Provide two professional references.
