Our children's services function is on a journey of improvement. Much has been achieved under the current leadership as we move towards where we want to be for the good of our children and young people. But there is still much more to do. With strong foundations in place, we are now seeking our next permanent Corporate Director of Children and Young People to drive forward the final stages of improvement and deliver lasting impact in Herefordshire.

You will take ownership of our journey of improvement, leading and motivating our team of children's services professionals. You will ensure that we continue to put children and young people at the heart of everything we do, delivering services in line with our ambitions for the people we serve. You will engage our political leadership ensuring that we continue to work towards their vision for high-quality, sustainable and safe children's services in the county of Herefordshire.

We welcome applications from serving Directors and those currently at Assistant Director level looking to step up. You will be someone who is excited by helping us on the next phase of our journey of improvement and will have a track record of driving improvement in children's services over a long period, either as a DCS or in a senior role.
