Priory Hospital Cardiff is a modern mental health treatment unit with facilities such as secure gardens, a gym, hydrotherapy pool, patient kitchens, social area, art rooms, and support services areas. The service is developing to offer bespoke treatment for patients with complex mental health needs, promoting independence and employing a multidisciplinary team to support patient progress.

Job Advert Role Description

As a Bank Healthcare Worker, you'll support patients to receive optimal care, promoting independence and patient involvement through effective communication and engagement. The ideal candidate is honest, hardworking, reliable, with a pleasant demeanor and capable of using initiative.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients' well-being, promptly referring any unusual physical, mental, or emotional occurrences to senior staff and documenting appropriately.
• Maintain professional relationships with patients, colleagues, and visitors, responding promptly and courteously.
• Offer services on an as-needed basis, with shifts of 12 hours (Daytime Only) - 07:30 to 19:45.

Knowledge/Education/Skills:

• Minimum NVQ 1 or GCSEs in Mathematics and English.
• Understanding of confidentiality requirements.
• Basic IT literacy.
