This is a really exciting time to join a high performing and ambitious team that has lots of energy to ensure successful delivery of our Workforce and OD Strategy and people centred initiatives.
Reporting to the Learning and Development Advisor, the role will support the Workforce and OD Team with administrative support to deliver, and implement a sustainable programme of Learning, Equalities, Wellbeing and OD programmes across the councils.
We require someone who is organised, with a customer focused mindset, and flexible. You will have the opportunity to support with a range of exciting projects and be supported to broaden your skills, knowledge and experience across all HR disciplines. The post holder will be the first point of contact for the Learning and Development Team and provide general support to the Workforce and OD Team.
Main duties and responsibilities- Support the Workforce and OD Team; managing inboxes, responding to queries, processing formal learning requests, and data cleansing of learning records and systems
- Process formal learning requests received (adding to L&D budget tracker, requesting PO's, completing recharge forms, attending budget meetings)
- Support the Team in preparing for in-person courses and events setting these up on relevant platforms, booking rooms, sending invitations to course delegates, sending pre and post workshop emails, printing materials
- Support the Team at in-person events with meeting delegates, sharing information packs, maintaining attendee records and collating post course evaluation and feedback
- Support the implementation of HR, Learning and Recruitment platforms, uploading employee changes (adding new starters, leavers and role changes, manager changes, team/service areas), Being a system super user, fixing errors, making changes, running regular reports, uploading training certificates or other training records
- Support the Team in maintaining training records and records of training providers on the HR and learning management systems, including generating new starter accounts
- Support the team with managing memberships & subscriptions by running or gathering reports from providers, seeking feedback from internal users, presenting findings to L&D Advisors to help inform renewals
- Collate information in relation to freedom of information and sharing with the Payroll and Business Support Coordinator
- Provide input into HR-related internal audits
About youYour essential skills, knowledge, and experience
- Experience of working within a customer focused environment
- Experience of working with data e.g., databases systems, reports etc.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good administrative skills to a high standard of quality, including data entry, letter writing, spreadsheets etc.
- Basic MS office skills and ability to adapt to/learn to using different databases and systems.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills
Your essential qualifications- Good standard GCSEs (grades A to C/Level 4 and above) or equivalent level of experience
If you have the following experience or qualifications – it’s a bonus.
- A-levels or equivalent
- Experience of working with a learning management system
- HR qualification
- Experience of working within HR, developing inputting system changes directly and reviewing output data
