Person specificationQualifications and TrainingEssential criteria- Full registration with GMC
- MRCPCH / FRCA (Primary) or equivalent
- BLS training
- APLS/ PALS/ EPLS/ NLS
Desirable criteriaExperienceEssential criteria- Ability to assess patients with a comprehensive history and physical examination
- Ability to make management plans
- Ability to triage between different priorities
- Experience looking after inpatient neonates and children
Desirable criteria- Prior SpR experience in a tertiary hospital
- Prior PICU experience
- Experience of assessment of and infants and children in A+E
SkillsEssential criteria- Phlebotomy, cannulation
- Arterial Cannulation
- Airway skills
Desirable criteria- Central Venous Cannulation
- Enthusiasm to teach skills to others
KnowledgeEssential criteria- Intermediate knowledge of anaesthesia
- Willingness to learn
Desirable criteria- knowledge in paediatrics
- Advanced safeguarding training
PersonalEssential criteria- Ability to work in a Multi disciplinary team
- Good interpersonal skills
