Job description

Knitwear Technologist - Menswear (9 Month Contract)

As the Knitwear Technologist at COS, you will create perfect fits for our customers while maintaining high-quality standards. You will influence and lead your team technically, ensuring Knitwear Product Development from sketch to production aligns with short- and long-term goals.

Responsibilities include:

• Interpreting and realizing designer sketches into final samples
• Achieving optimal fit and quality
• Securing product development in Menswear Knitwear, including fit, size, function, quality, and construction
• Collaborating with designers on mock-ups, 3D prototyping, and creative solutions
• Creating and advising on tech packs, considering yarns, gauges, stitches, tension, and construction
• Providing practical production advice and ensuring technical clarity
• Supporting creative development through new techniques and silhouettes
• Managing measurement lists, grading, and ensuring all technical details are accurate
• Guiding fittings, driving fit and construction improvements, and updating comments
• Participating in handovers, taking detailed notes, and guiding the team
• Driving projects, delegating tasks, and following up
• Attending meetings to stay aligned with customer and market trends

Ideal candidate:

• Has experience as a knitwear technologist or product developer
• Possesses excellent technical knowledge of knitwear
• Is proficient with Shima, Adobe Illustrator, Microsoft Office
• Experience with PLM systems is a plus
• Can manage multiple projects with attention to detail
• Has strong communication skills and a solution-oriented mindset
• Can innovate and identify future trends
• Works well within diverse teams
