Reports to: Laminating Supervisor

Responsible for: Composite Laminators

Purpose of the job:

This pivotal role within the laminating department involves assisting the Kit-Cutting and Laminating Supervisor to ensure smooth operations, ongoing training, scrap reduction, and quality improvement. The role includes managing, motivating, and training the cell to meet company standards and maximize performance.

Key Responsibilities:
Operational Responsibilities
  • Perform mould checks before laminating and sign off
  • Check off first plies and bags for allocated operatives
  • Ensure paperwork is completed accurately
  • Attend handover meetings for new parts
  • Highlight issues with new jobs to supervisor
  • Train team on new parts as needed
  • Assist with morning break-out activities
  • Record job progress electronically
Quality and Standards
  • Ensure team understands and maintains quality standards
  • Achieve 100% plan adherence and complete job sheets daily
  • Maintain high quality standards—first-time right, minimal scrap
  • Manage daily needs of the laminating cell effectively
