SEN Support Worker, Itchingfield, RH13. A flexible and dynamic role with excellent training opportunities available for a SEN Support Worker to work with a bright and engaging young chap with a physical disability, following a Conductive Education Programme. Up to GBP19.00 Gross per Hour

Essential: Confidence supporting young people with additional needs, non-smokers/vapers, this role is open to female applicants only.

Days & Hours: Up to 30 hours per week, very flexible for the right candidate. A mixture of shifts, days, weekends, and nights available. Please get in touch with your availability.

About this client: Elvis is an 11-year-old, bright, engaging, active, and determined young chap with a love for being outdoors, swimming, baking delicious treats, and reading. Snap Care has recruited Elvis's care team since he was 2 years old! He has Dystonic Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy, experiencing seizures, especially at night. Elvis is a wheelchair user and requires hands-on support with moving and handling. He uses a communication talker device and enjoys chatting. He follows the ethos of Conductive Education, promoting his independence in daily activities, supported by his care team.
Overview of role: Support Workers/PA's assist Elvis with his care plan, ADLs, self-help skills, and therapy programs, promoting his independence and overall development. The role involves supporting Elvis to reach his full potential, with training provided by therapists and a Conductive Education specialist. The team provides 2:1 support, offering flexibility to accommodate your availability. Shifts include afternoons from 3.15 pm to 8.30 pm, and weekends/school holidays with 11-hour day shifts starting at 9.00 am, as well as waking nights from 8.00 pm to 9.00 am.
